This challenging mixture, which is also reflected in the artist's personality Les Tardes Goldscheyder, fascinated us and made us take a closer look at his work. Philipp is simply a phenomenon one would rather expect in New York of the early 1980s than in today's Vienna. On our first visit of his studio, we were rewarded with a long and profound conversation that gave us deep insights into Philipp's life and his objects and collages made from things he picks up on streets and flea markets. The meeting enabled us to see and understand his work with completely new eyes.
